For this module, I selected one of Leon Bakst’s Ballets Russes costume designs which I would then construct my own interpretation. After studying multiple designs, I selected La Mariée from Le Dieu Bleu. I was drawn to the silhouette of La Mariée when first looking into Bakst’s designs and decided this was the one I wanted to create, I also felt that this design would prove to be a challenge make sure that it was functional as a dance costume.
